If you really knew me...

In an effort to get to know each other, trust each other, and inspire each other a little for the next creative writing piece, I'd like you to take a little risk and post five things that you'd like other people in the class to know about you. The quirkier/more unique and personal, the better. Here are my five:

1. I am a terrible sport and throw a fit when I lose--especially when it comes to board and card games.
2. I hate it when people crack their knuckles or burp in public. It's disgusting.
3. I like to watch one rerun of "Scrubs" before going to bed because I find it relaxing.
4. Sometimes I'd rather curl up in bed and read a book than go out and socialize. I would have never admitted this in high school because I used to think that it made me a dork. Now I'm automatically a dork because I'm old and a teacher, so I don't really care.
5. My mother is very, very sick, and I get upset about it everytime I'm in my car by myself.

Your turn.

Ok, here goes,
1. I was not born in Texas. Everyone just assumes that I was.
2. I try not to act like I'm not
self conscious, but I am.
3. One day, I want to be a country singer. Some already know that, but It's the one thing that I've always known I could do. I believe that God wants me to be a servant for him through this talent He has given me.
4. Cussing really bugs me. It makes people sound so unitelligent when they could use such different words to describe their anger or disgust.
5. I love my parents so much. I would go to them for anything. They are the two people that I know I can trust. I know they'll make mistakes, but they'll always be there for me.

1. For people who don't know me I'm not a goodie good and don't cry to my grandpy when I have problems. Also I don't make teams or get good grades because hes the principal.

2. I don't drink or smoke even though everyone thinks I'm a party girl.

3. The biggest competition I have is with myself.

4. I tell people the truth whether or not they ask for it which often causes people not to like me and think I'm a rude person. The world is full of people who bs so its good for people to know the real truth once in a while.

5. I am very self concious about my weight and the way I look which causes me to freak out when I like someone.

2. I really want to be in the movie biz. when I'm older. An actress and director, I'm even writing a script.
3.I've never done anything bad, because I feel no need to, I like the fact that my parents trust me, it means I can do whatever I want. The worst thing I've done is ditched swimming, the sport.
4. I'm really self concious about the way I look, eventhough I pretend not to me.
5.I can't wait to get out of here and go somewhere completely different. I'm so bored and hate it here in subria. I want to go to NYC or LA and change my image completely.

2.I am ALWAYS thing about my weight. I think if I gain weight that it will cause me to be unhappy. I just want to be skinny that’s all...

3.My dads in jail and its had a huge affect on me. We all try to joke about it but my stomach hurts thinking about it, and as sad as it is I think of people differently now and am always wondering if they are like him. (even before I’ve met them.

4.My new years resolution is to be nice to everybody no matter what. Even if you're the girl in the back that i have never said hi to I think good thing about you and have just never showed them.

5.I have a really big fear of throwing up! The last few times I’ve gone to counseling are because I saw someone throw up. I don't know what it is, but I won't be hungry for days and just panic for no reason.

1. I love to be organized. I constantly change my room and move things around and redo it. I cannot stand things that are constantly repeated or are the same.
2. We celebrate every holiday. My family is Unitarian and we like to celebrate lots of different religious holidays. If it sounds cool, we will try it. We learn about lots of different places and customs considering we travel lots. I love traveling and not being in the same place.
3. I have such a small family. I am an only child with four cousins. At times I wish I had siblings and a big family. I find it so much fun to be at on of my friend’s house whose family has 11 people. My extended family is also a little strange in my opinion.
4. I love the rain and the dark. Rain on a warm day with the dark clouds is the best thing ever. You can find me outside on a rainy day. I also love the dark; most people are scared of the dark, but I love it. I cannot figure out why either.
5. I have never been on a diet. I am mostly a vegetarian. I have also never had a cavity. Last, I cannot gain weight even though I eat so much and my doctor is worried about that. He prescribed me a milkshake every night before I go to bed to make me gain weight. It might sound great, but it isn’t. I like to eat healthy. I can also never find my size!

Wow deep stuff...here goes..

1. I try and strive really hard to fit in. I know it may seem like I don't really care a whole lot of the time, but it's really hard to be myself. I try and work on being more individual.

2. I have a wide variety of musical taste. I like everything from System of a Down to Broadway musicals; (i.e. Wicked and Rent) which some consider being more "chicky" music. I only like rap on very rare occasions however.

3. (a little less deep/personal) I have twin sisters who might go to the Olympics in 2008 for synchronized swimming.

4. To most I seem like a happy kind of guy. I don't always show my emotions on what and how I’m feeling. I don't really like talking about my feelings either because it feels really personal.

5. I like Glen feel really awkward when a couple is around. I usually end up feeling like the third wheel whenever that happens. My own experiences with the opposite gender haven’t faired well, and leave me hurt for the most part. I wish I could be in that sort of deep relationship with someone.

If you really knew me you would know...

1. I criticize myself constantly. I am always rethinking in my head the littlest things i've done or said and wishing I hadn't done or said anything, when in reality the things I stress about don't really matter to anyone else.

2. I feel like I'm always being judged. Both by people who know me, and those who don't.

3.I don't get along with my parents at all and when I'm with friends I try to have as much fun as possible because being with them, just having a good time and laughing, makes me forget about the stuff at home.

4. It takes a long time for me to trust people. I only truly trust a few close friends. I try not to get too close to people because I'm always afraid that they are only being fake.

5. High school has changed me a lot. I am a different person than I was 2 years ago. Some of those changes might not be good but I feel like I need to make mistakes on my own. In the future, I will probably regret a lot of the things I've done but at the same time, I am fully aware of the choices I have made so far, and I want to experience life my way.

1.I'm really hard on myself when it comes to not doing as well as I think I should have, even if I couldn't do any better.

2.When someone says something I don't agree with I don't mind telling them. I stand up for what I believe in and anyone/thing that I care about.

3.I hate to fail, so I am really competetive in everything I do even stuff like board games.

4. I don't drink or do drugs or smoke, and I never will becuase of past experiences.

5. I hate it when people pretend that they're someone they're not.

3. Im really not as "girly girly" as i come off to be (the cheer uniforms dont really help), i actually really like things that are challenging and i dont care about getting a bruise or a scratch, and im not afraid to get my hands dirty.

4. I have been struggling with school work and grades for the past semesters and my new years resolution was to stay focused in school and not get behind.

5.My parents just went through a seperation a couple months ago and it has really been hard on me, and i worry about my sister a lot, and i dont think i would be able to get through each day if it werent for my friends.

I have something in common with Amy S and Saryn because we both are self concious about our weight even though there really isnt anything to worry about. Margaux suprised me with her last comment because mostly everyone is taking their family members for granted when Margaux is just thankful for her dad still being alive. Not knowing when one of the people your closest to is going to pass would be the worst thing to deal with in my opinion. I was also suprised at what Jade said about the makeup. I think more guys should feel that way and thats very mature since most people like someone for their outter beauty not their personality.

I really only trust one friend not to judge and tell secrets about me. I feel like when people make jokes its also about me. I cant get over it and I dont know why.

Sara and I also have something in common because alot of people think Im a girly girl because I ware preppy clothes and such but I acctully am a really tough worker and I acctully love going up to my familys farm in GA because there is no cell coverage and i love to just go out on walks all day play with the country dogs (even tho they smell) and even play in the mud. after reading everyone's comments I decided that I am most like Aly and Taylor. The characteristsic I have in common with Aly is that we are both the outgoing kids in the family. My brother is the opposite of me, he doesn't like to talk to people he doesn't know and I love it. It's almost like an adrenaline rush to talk to someone you don't know. The characteristic I have in common with Taylor is that we both hate it when people act like something they're not. I hate when girls are nice to guys, but they're really snotty and mean to other girls.

Similarities:
I noticed that I like Jessie because I do not really like to cuss and I don't like it when people cuss frequently. Kevin and I are pretty similar because we both like to read-even though I didn't say that on my blog, I probably read about two books every month! Yeah I know, I'm a dork :)
Surprises:
One of Margaux's comments really surprised me. I had no idea she was going through so much, and not show it at all. She now seems as a much stronger person for being able to get through each day. I was also surprised by one of Madison's comments because I guess I never really realized that someone's life could be so hard with their parents. I guess in a way I have been sort of sheltered.

Jade and Aly both had points in common with me. I love to draw and although I didn't post it girls that wear excess make up bug me.

Lynch's comment about HTML surprised me because I wasn't sure how many people could use it (I don't think it's geeky)I learned a while back and it still helps me out.. Leah's (as well as most of the other girls comment) about being self concious sursprises me alot because 1. no one in this class is ugly and 2. even though I've been there.. I always thought it was one of those middle school type things that everyone outgrew (my section forced it out of me in June freshman year)... I hope they out grow it soon because life is so much fun without worrying :)

THIS IS FROM AMY S!!!

I agree with taylor davis because I also dont like when my friends drink because i think its so stupid! I also get dissappointed in that person.....It also has to do with throwing up because when I think of people drinking I think their going to throw up.

I agree with kendra viar because I think I have changed so much in 2 years of being in high school! Whether its good or bad iv'e changed and I liek some of the changed, but theres some i hate that i just can't stop right now.

I was surprized by madison f's comment when she said that alot of the time shes alone and a few of her friends even want to adopt her. Even though that may seem kind of bad I think that she should feel specail that not 1 but 2 of her friends are willing to adopt her! Thats really nice.

I was surprized by margaux l's comment when she said that her dad has Pancreatic Cancer and that the doctors predicted that he shoudlnt have lived this long. I think that thats very cool thats hes prooving them wrong! I think that this experience will make you mature before anyone else and I do have a lot of hope that he will be able to walk you down the aisle!

LEAH AGAIN!

2 people that said stuff that suprised me was jake and maddie.

First i didn't know that jake walked in his sleep. My brother had that problem. It acctully kind of scares me when I dont know who is walking around your house.

Second I never knew maddies cousin died. I know how she feels though becase my cousin died about a year and a half ago. Its not the same situation though because he was only one year old. I barley knew him and I only met him once. Its still kinda hard to come to terms with it. Because he was so young and it makes no sense, why he had to die that young.

I am really afraid of being raped or anything like that too. My best friend in 4th grade was raped and ever since I saw how it affected her, and me, I've been more aware of stuff like that.

THIS IS ALY!!!
Amy: She did a really good job. I like how she vividly described most details of the night

Leah: It was really sad how she told some of the stuff, but it was also really cute how she described some of the stuff that brought back a lot of memories of way back when at naptime & what not.

Jake: It was horrible, but in a good way. It brought shivers down my spine to hear him write something that emotional and personal, but glad he shared that.

Sara: Fishies scare her. It was really sad, but good thing that she is trying to overcome it.

Colin: Good, confusing yes, but still really good. I liked it. He made a lot of the things that he described in his paper that made a lot of things so…awesome sounding.

Lauren: Really…kind of sad. Everyone went through a lot their last year of middle school, but the way she put that thing made it a lot more real to probably a lot of people.

Glen: I knew he traveled all over the world, but I didn’t know he went that many places. Yeah its true, I agree with him when he says that he’s more unique for seeing so many things before.

Kevin: Very cute, I loved his paper because he told it like the view point of the age he was talking about in his paper.

Matt: Well written, good point of view.

David: Good description of everything that had happened. Very sad, but good and personal so it makes up for that.

Julianna: Shows a good sense of accomplishment. It was very well spoken and she did a good job.

Kendra: very sweet. Talking about her “family” at her old school, it was really adorable. It was really sad though, when she told us about how she had to leave them.

Jade: AWWWW!!!! THAT WAS SO ADORABLE!!! I love Megan, she’s so sweet. And the way he put it all into a poem, was so perfect.

Kaitlan: Everything that she wrote was so touching and moving and everything. Personal, just glad it didn’t happen to her.

Josh: Good description, I like the way he described the mountains and his time in it.

Gabe: Short, but to the point, talking about his very first paintball gun.

James: Lacrosse seems to be his passion and he told that very well. Good way to put it and yeah, it was just good.

Jessie: Sweet how she talked about when she was little and the way she exhibited her love for singing.

Molly: She was very poient to what she was writing about and had a good way of talking about her love of her special place in the mountains.

Margaux: White water rafting, ah the joys of that. I like how she told about the details about her experience.

Alyssa: Inspirational. I love every descriptive word that she had to describe what she had seen back in the 7th grade.

Nathan: Good way of putting his trip to Europe, I like the way he was talking about the soda.

Brigid: Creative about the way she wrote about her room and her comfort place and the love of music in her life.

Madi: Sad that she was talking about her cousin’s death, it was moving.

Saryn: that was kinda scary, I wanna know what happens next.

Blake: reminded me of the first day of school, but in a good way.

Ben: Ah Christmas time. I love it.

Keith: he made a good point of his adrenaline rush, which made his piece really good.

Bryce: very sad, because that’s something that’s got to be very hard to go through.

Kayla: very, very personal. It was well written and everything like that. She did a great job.
